It’s a new week and I am back in the gym. I am finally actually working out regularly now and I am getting into a groove. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this is big for me because I do not work out. I despise the gym and will do anything I can to avoid it. So, when I say I have been to the gym 5 days in 1 week, you and I both will have our jaws on the floor out of shock.
My new found motivation is just to get back to being healthy and happy with my body. I am not trying to lose weight, I just want to tone up so that I feel confident. To do this, I am not lifting weights, instead I am mixing up my routine daily with walks and the elliptical at varying inclines for 30 minutes followed by small resistance movements, similar to calisthenics.
I am currently focusing on my inner and outer thighs, as well as my butt. By the end of my 4 sets of 8 for each, I want to scream because my muscles are shaking. I now understand what people mean when they say “feel the burn”. Well I feel it alright and it sucks, but worth it.
