If you have been following along on my Instagram stories (@themiddlecloset) or my Snapchat stories (@hcmiddleton), you will know that I am back on the dating apps. Recently, I had taken a break from them because I wanted to focus on myself and the things that meant the most to me. I felt like if I was going to get onto one of those things, I needed to first be happy with myself.
I recently shared how my wardrobe has been gravitating towards a lighter palette. I still am not sure as to why, but this outfit is another example of how I am starting to steer away from the darker colors. Maybe it has something to do with my mood, but I seem to feel in a lighter mood when I am in whites and creams.
This dress was an amazing find and it’s still on sale at Anthropologie. It’s only $68 and worth every penny! Not only does it have pockets (the best part) but I love the cut. Even though it’s a cut a bit lower, when paired with a long cardigan, it really rounds out the entire look. This cardigan is new favorite of mine and I foresee myself wearing it a lot during the fall and winter months. I couldn’t wait for the temperatures to drop so by pairing it with a summer dress, it provides a little move coverage and is perfect for cooler nights.
Similar to last year, longer cardigans are going to be a necessary staple in your closet. You don’t have to break the bank either. I bought this one at the very end of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but I’ve linked several others below that are just as amazing! It’s scary, my long cardigan collection continues to grow and I don’t plan on stopping that anytime soon!
What trends do you foresee yourself adopting this fall? I’d love to hear! Thank you as always for reading!
