In my opinion, red is a color that exudes strength and yet still remains extremely feminine. I have loved the color red forever, but for some reason I only own a couple pieces, one being my favorite pair of red trousers… Those are always fun to bring around during the holidays, but I definitely think that bold colors like red need to be worn on a regular basis.
Recently I’ve talked a lot about color in your wardrobe and I continue to surprise myself with the increased number of pieces that I have that continue to expand my color palette. Growing up, I always wore bright colors (hot pink as a little girl, per usual), but as I got older, those colored faded out of my daily wear. My mom has always reminded me that I should wear red because it’s “my color”. I didn’t believe her until I found a couple pieces that proved her to be right.
Finding the right color palette for yourself is not always an easy task, so my advice is to take it slowly. You don’t need to dive into every color in the rainbow all at once. Pick one or two that spark your interest and see how they fit you, not in size but mood/shade, etc. When picking brighter colors, make sure to notice how it looks against your skin tone. You don’t want to wash yourself out, so it should be a color that compliments your natural beauty, from hair, skin, eye and unique features!
