It’s the end of an era for me! I am officially moved out of my home and living with my roommate of 3 years and onto my new place! Well, I’m not in my new spot yet, Paige is nice enough to let me stay with her and her family for the week and half until my new lease starts.
I said it before, but it’s going to be weird to not be living with my friend Kasey anymore. After living together for 3 years, we both definitely became used to seeing each other regularly and I think we may have taken the situation for granted, especially these last couple of months. Knowing that we were coming down to the wire, we spent more time together, but we were talking about it more last night and I think we’ve grown a lot closer over the last few years so leaving is going to be hard for us both.
Even though there are new beginnings on the horizon, it’s still nice to take a step back and look at the fun times that have taken place over the last few years. And with this move, it’s been a good time for me to look through my closet and all of the pieces that oldies but goodies that I can’t bare to get rid of.
This dress is one that has been in Paige’s closet for some time and it’s always been a favorite of mine so I had to share it. I love the length and bottom flare. The biggest reason I wanted to wear it was to share with you all the first of a two part series in how to wear longer sweaters. Paige and I both own this same sweater in two different colors (Paige got the navy and I have the oatmeal) and they are both some of my favorites. I love the length and the ease of wear.
One of the best things about longer sweaters is how you can mix and match the lengths with other pieces. In my opinion, you don’t have to worry about the length of the sweater with the length of the dress you wear. Mixing and matching the lengths is totally okay! It’s especially fun to have longer lengths as we head into fall because you can always drape the sweater if it gets too warm and then pull it onto your shoulders as it starts to cool down.
What do you think of the long sweater trend? It is one of my favorites and this sweater is worth the investment, I promise!! I’ve already worn mine multiple times, and it’s not even fall yet so I know it’s going to be a regular as the temps start to drop. Have the best day! Thank you for reading!
