As most of you know, I just moved into a new home! This is the first time that I have lived on my own and it’s been a harder transition than I originally expected. I don’t know if it’s because it’s new or because I am by myself that is bothering me, but I don’t feel settled yet. Everyone says that it will just take time, and I know that, but right now it’s not the easiest. Thankfully, I have great people around me that are my support system and I can lean on them when I need it most.
Now enough about sad things, it’s time to talk about how I am still able to wear dresses here! It’s amazing to me how it’s the middle of September and we are still in the mid to upper 80s these days. I am not much for warm weather (I know…). I much prefer the fall/winter months because the sweaters, coats, scarves, and boots are my favorite part of my wardrobe. But at the risk of getting heat stroke trying to wear those things right now, I’ve opted for some “fallish” dresses that I can pair with some OTK boots.
I wasn’t completely sure about this dress when I first put it in mar cart because it isn’t like most things that I wear, but I thought I’d give it a try anyway. When it arrived, I was instantly hooked! The pattern is very unique and perfect for both spring and fall. I love the subtle tie cutouts on the sleeves that add a little whimsical feel to the dress. I think pairing it with OTK boots creates more of a fall feel and will be perfect for date nights if you throw a leather jacket over your shoulders for an edgy look.
What do you think about dresses going into fall? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Have the best weekend!
