Blue has always been a color that is consistent within my wardrobe. Whether it’s blue jeans (which I probably have 30+ pairs) or blouses, jackets, etc., the color is a staple and will remain that way for a long time to come. Personally, I don’t always dwell on the fashion faux pas that you can’t wait black and blue together. Yes, I wouldn’t suggest it as an everyday staple, but I try not to shy away from mixing colors regardless of what someone once said. What I do tend to focus on is the cut and shape of a piece and how it can work together with another.
Bernardo Outwear has always been one of my favorites and I always get excited when I have the opportunity to work with them. Each of the pieces is always unique but functional. This moto jacket is the perfect addition to an everyday wardrobe because of its detailing and ease of wear. I love the dark navy shade of blue that helps the detailing of the sleeves stand out. Rather than a normal black jacket where those aspects could get lost, the mix of textures and fabrics makes this piece an instant winner.
I chose to pair this jacket with an all blue feel with a little pop of black in the handbag. It really pulls the pieces together when they are structured with a lighter hue while no two fabrics being the same. Mixing colors is always a great idea, but sometimes it’s a nice change to pick one color and stick to it for a balanced look.
What is your take on the single color outfits? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! Have the best day and thank you for reading!
